Frequently Asked Questions |
|
| Q. |
Who are the instructors? |
| A. |
The Instructors for every WMDTech course are former or current EOD/Bomb Squad technicians. The courses were developed by former EOD Technicians with a specialty in RSP (Render Safe Procedures) for WMD's (Weapons of Mass Destruction). These EOD Technicians were founding members of a team whose WMD reponse AOR (Area Of Responsibility) was our nation's capital. |

| Q. |
Where are classes given? |
| A. |
Most of WMDTech's courses are given at the students location to a course size that is on average around 20 students.
WMDTech will hold classes locally in Boise for our electronics course (ED&D) on a quarterly basis. Watch the website for scheduled course dates.
WMDTech can also host our other classes in Boise at request. We typically want at least 5 students to host here in Boise, although they don't necessarily need to come from a single unit/location. |

These classes are of a Law Enforcement Sensitive nature, and are normally only given to Bomb Technicians, Bomb Technicians in training (that have been vetted by their command authority or by the host of the course), or to direct Bomb Technician supporting agencies (again that have been vetted by their command or by the host of the course). |

Students are screened to take the course through their commands, and valid Bomb Squad response authorities. Each student will be required to be vetted by the hosting authority, and verified to be either a Bomb Technician, a Bomb Tech in training, or directly in support of Bomb Squad response. |

| Q. |
How can you purchase equipment? |
| A. |
Equipment that is not controlled equipage can be purchased directly through the website, just as can be purchased through any other online vendor. An account will need to be set up, and approved by WMDTech. Each person is encouraged to register using an official email address, and business/shipping address for verification purposes.
This will be vital when purchasing controlled equipage items, and those who have been verified will have access to more sensitive areas of the website, as well as the ability to purchase controlled equipage items.
To register on the website, click on the logon / register link at the top of the website. |
